MassMediaBloatification coined by Teena Hughes in Australia

It’s 4:34pm on Saturday 21st March 2020 in the time of Coronavirification.

I just coined this word/phrase and it appears nowhere on the internet:

MassMediaBloatification

IMHO many people worldwide are feeling out of control and overwhelmed as the media pours non-stop news across the interwebs and it seems it’s making people feel totally lost and scared, feeling they cannot stop the unimagineable amount of news being dumped on us 24/7 from around the globe.

Friends, colleagues, clients I speak with are all feeling stressed and I put it down to this …

The media seems to be bombarding us non-stop with stories from around the globe which are both helpful and detrimental, hopeful and scary, so so much info! It’s like being on a non-stop emotional rollercoaster.

I’m calling this MassMediaBloatification – you heard it here first.

Let’s all stay at home and self-isolate to help bring this under control.

Turn off the technology, read a book, play with the kids, play Boggle, Scrabble and other board games, relax …

Stay safe,

Teena
