This year I’m hosting a breakfast at the Tide Bar Restaurant in Manly, Queensland.
On the wharf behind the local swimming pool, the Tide Bar has the best Baristas, staff, coffee and food in the area (and yes I am a bit biased – I love these people!)
We’ll be chatting for an hour or two, getting to know strangers, telling our stories, celebrating women worldwide.
We’ll be sharing stories of the women in Australia’s history who helped shape our country in so many ways.
We’ll also hear about international women to celebrate, many of whom have had humble beginnings and survived in the face of racism, sexual, ethnic and political discrimination – and are still being talked about and cheered today, hundreds of years later.
This is a day to meet, greet, talk, laugh and share in womanhood, around a table in a relaxed atmosphere surrounded by boats bobbing alongside the wharf, lulled by soft breezes off Moreton Bay.
